Job opportunities are plenty in manufacturing industries when contrast with Engineering service domain for mechanical engineers globally. As Manufacturing industries are adding handful of CNC machinery moving out from conventional machining across the globe to supply the demand in Automotive, Aerospace, Defense, Electronics ,Machine tool & General engineering industries which is growing constantly and also "Make in India" promotion by government of india to produce indigenous products is fostering the manufacturing industry.
Industries employ more than 80 % candidates from ITI, Diploma, Inter,10th & dropouts who usually come from rural & weaker section background. These candidates would start their career as an helper/technician for a period of 4-6 months in industries due to lack of technical ,problem solving , communication skills. After gaining hands on experience & upgrading their technical ability to a certain period of time,they will be switched to a machine operator /programmer /supervisor /production incharge roles depending upon each individual skills attained will help them to climb up the ladder of the organisation.
Many industrialist complain most of the engineers are not the right fit in manufacturing segment due to lack of attitude & they never stick in any organisation for a long period of time.. But today's engineer are unable to understand the importance of working in industries which can ripe fruits for them in future having a minimum of 2-3 years Industrial exposure.A true spirited mechanical engineer makes his hand filthy to have practical exposure & comprehend the working society of hardship (and Come Out Even Stronger) at the beginning period of their profession , instead of searching for cushy white collar jobs in Design,Analysis, Marketing,IT & other fields.
Need of the hour for Mechanical Engineers to have the right attitude to work in industries with relentless patience irrespective of the working position,remuneration by gaining work experience with required aptitude & attitude to have a steady career growth.
