The 4 strokes comprising a piston cycle are Intake, Compression, Power and Exhaust.  In a 4 stroke engine, the combustion cycle is completed in 2 piston strokes while in a 2stoke engine, the combustion cycle is completed in a single piston stroke.

1) Two Stroke Engine It has one revolution of crankshaft within one power stroke.

     Four Stroke Engine  It has two revolutions of crankshaft between one power strokes.

2) Two Stroke Engine  It used port to inlet and outlet of fuel.

  Four Stroke Engine  It used valve to inlet and outlet.
