Turbocharger is an air blower that supplies additional to the engine by means of the exhaust gases leaving the engine. The turbine/rotor of the turbocharger is coupled to the exhaust manifold,  so as the exhaust gases are leaving the engine they propell the rotor causing air to be drawn into the engine. Whiles the supercharger draws in air to the engine by means of the engine power, thus the rotor is driven by the engine power
