The beauty of Engineering is its cross-disciplinary nature. I wouldn't suggest an architect design an aeroplane, but a structural engineer could!

Generally speaking, architects are very concerned with esthetic aspects of a structure, often to the total neglect of its structural requirements. In an airplane, this could be quite dangerous.
