Solidworks - Two parts joined together with table bearing

just upgraded from 2012 to 2014 recently but I haven't tried it since then. I suspected that it might have been because each part file has hundreds of configurations since it is one file for all sizes of a given type of hardware. You mentioned that you can have one file for each specific configuration so I wonder if that would make it perform better. I knew that you could set custom properties for the toolbox component but I didn't know about that option to create a new configuration for each option of a given parameter. That sounds like a good way to handle materials (but still that just multiplies the number of configs you have for a given file). Also I didn't know about that import/export for the custom properties, I thought you had to enter the properties in the toolbox manager. Importing from excel sounds way easier, so disregard my comment about the difficulty of adding custom properties. The BOM functionality I was referring to was just having internal part numbers and descriptions be able to show up, so that can be disregarded too.

    Flange Bearing Mounting

Flange bearings are bearings mounted in a cast iron flange and used with otherbearing types. Three basic styles exist: the round or square four-bolt, the tri-cornered three-bolt, or the diamond-shaped two-bolt. They can be used with ballbearings, plain bearings, needle roller and roller bearings

    Piping course

A pump is designed to handle liquid, not vapour. Vapour forms if the pressure in the pump falls below the liquid’s vapour pressure . The vapour pressure occurs right at the impeller inlet where a sharp pressure drop occurs. The impeller rapidly builds up the pressure which collapses vapour bubbles causing cavitation and damage . This is avoided by maintaining sufficient NPSH. (Cavitation implies cavities or holes in the fluid we are pumping. These holes can also be described as bubbles, so cavitation is really about the formation of bubbles and their collapse. Bubbles form when ever liquid boils. It can be avoided by providing sufficient NPSH.)

A cam is a rotating or sliding piece in a mechanicallinkage used especially in transforming rotary motion into linear motion. It is often a part of a rotating wheel (e.g. an eccentric wheel) or shaft (e.g. a cylinder with an irregular shape) that strikes a lever at one or more points on its circular path.

    CAD software to use?

CAD, or computer-aided design and drafting (CADD), is the use of computer technology for design and design documentation. CAD software replaces manual drafting with an automated process. If you work in the architecture, MEP or structural engineering fields, you have probably used 2D or 3DCAD programmes.
