  1. Hi all! I have a leaky Lucas epic fuel pump on a 2001 LDV convoy. She is 2.5DI TURBO engine and currently having power loss problems/limp mode problems. Found a pretty bad fuel leak coming from under side of the pump so seems to correspond with the current issues. Spoken to a few specialists and they all say dump the epic on the bin and find a compatible Bosch one. Could risk getting the epic tested and repaired but even the company said the conversion s the better way as parts are rare. Can anyone further advise me on the process as I am capable of going so far with it but I have read that the fuel lines are different and the immobiliser has to be hard wired from the ignition to the stop solenoid etc. also throttle pedal change which is easy enough for me. My mechanical ability I would say is better than most for someone who isn't a mechanic. I can do Land Rover cam belts, brakes, clutch master cylinders, can change parts etc and have completed a banana engine change in a old transit. Would this be something I can manage? also fuel needs to be adjusted on the pump to cope with turbo boost so any advise would be well received!! Thanks in advance folks! CC
