  1. Yes I know the meaning of the symbols. I am guessing it goes as follows then: F=PA Then Frictional force Fr, Fr=F*u(coefficient of friction) Finally, Max Torque(T)= F*d/2 Please correct me if I am wrong.
  2. Thank you for the answer. According to the book the formula for the pressure is I need to find the value of delta(radial interference). Which formula do I use to calculate the pressure, assuming I know the torque of the motor, coefficient of friction and shaft diameter.
  3. Hello Everyone, I wanted to know how I can calculate the interference (shrink fit) needed for a shaft and propeller if I know the dimensions, material, speed and torque. Thanks for any help you can provide.
