  8. Friends A question that always keeps coming to the minds of young mechanical engineers, especially the students, is that where at all is Mechanical Engineering heading towards! There is a huge inclination of all mechanical engineers towards the simpler solutions, which basically involve the use of electronics, microprocessors and computers. The mechanical solutions of problems have proved to be rather combersome, but I as a student of Mechanical Engineering believe that core Mechanical Engg is capable of solving complex problems very reliably. The Differential, for example, is a miracle of Mechanical Engg. i am sure that if something like a differential was needed to be invented today, all engineers would have given the simple solution of using a sensor and a microprocessor to give differentail motion to the wheels. Am I correct in my arguement that it is mechanical engg which can stand alone and solve all problems or electronics is really a help and 'support' that mechanical engg needs to survive this competitive environment. Its good for analysis, but its own solid modellling is not good. For the purpose we can import the file from other softwares(I do from proE). The idea of this listing is really good.
