Regarding my government decision to go from diesel to electric and gas engines in railroad, I would like to discuss this topic and see how this will evolve in near future.

In rail road industry I believe that diesel engine still has some few years to live before seeing the first hybrid or electric locomotives or even gas engines for propulsion, as for now electric train still needs electrified lines to be able to collect energy to move, and we all know how costly electrified lines are, Wabtec, the company I work for is developing independent full electric propulsion locomotive, and I don't see this one moving on our rails in near future.

I believe hard that diesel engines and fossil energy has few decades to survive, at least for these heavy and powerful plants.
